BEING FAMOUS. Marc d.H. (3r ESO C)

MUM, I WANT TO BE FAMOUS

I hope someday I can be famous, but I'm not sure. I think being famous has its good points, but also is bad!
Some things are good, such as miss having lots of money, have many fans, to be great! But on the other hand has its flaws.
One is the constant stress you submit your very good fans. Having a few is fine, but you have thousands and thousands ... That’s no good. And the journalist are very gossip, I can’t live with there.
If one day I’m  famous, I will be a DJ. My famous DJ is SKRILLEX I think that he is the best and impresionan DJ. And If  I will be a DJ, I never disturb him. And…
Why will I do with this money? I 'll spend this money in my free time. One thing that I will like to do is will have a very big pool, only for me. But I spend a lot of money with my son. He will be have a PS8, a very big room (only for him), a IPhone 27… He can have all than can he imagine .
And this is all that I will do if I’m famous. But, I 'll give you many money if I am rich, don’t worry.

BEING FAMOUS Adrià H. (3r ESO A)

MAMA! I want to be famous!!

PROJECT Nª1

If I have to be famous I would like to be a car designer. First, I would like to design a new car, a new “brand”. The car will be electric, without fuel. This car will be a sale record!! The brand must be… Hugas®, for example. Obviously I will need my family to do this big project. When this car will finish I would like to go arround the world presenting this car.

PROJECT Nª2

One of my other projects to be famous is… To be a famous tennis player, like Rafa Nadal or Djockovic. I actually practice tennis. I’m  good enough at it. I play at CNSA. If i became famous I will contribute at many ONG, preferably at poor people, and i will help to other people that they really need.

*But becoming famous is not only good. You CAN’T  do a normal life, you have to avoid too many fans, reporters, or other people. And you hardly ever stay at home.

MUM, I DON'T WANT TO BE FAMOUS!

Mum, I don´t want to be a famous because the fame is funny, but it is very unconfortable because they live the quiet life. Fame can be good because you can have privileges, but you can also have enemies because of envy.

I would not want to be famous because it would not have a quiet life, always 'paparazzis' and not letting you live and saying things that would not be true.

Being famous can lead to poor image, for example, be fed up of the paparazzi might have a reaction and then insult them or something similar. All day you're followed and bothered.

Sometimes you'd have to hide because everyone would like autographs and photos with you.

Being famous stops you going out with friends or family. Also all the things that made the news will be published in both newspaper and television or radio. Being famous can make you earn money because you hired to do commercials or films, but the money does not make happiness, friendship and the family makes you happy.

TRAVELLING. Jordi B. (1r batx A)

Does travel broaden the mind?

People usually take advantage of their vacations travelling, even to make a one-day trip or a short journey. They do it for fun or only to meeting new places. But the question is: Does travel broaden your mind?

When you go on holidays to any place, you know how it is because you have gathered information about that and you have seen it in pictures, films, news, books, etc. You can wrongly think that you know everything about that site. When you do the travel, you learn how uncultivated you are.

I’ll put the example of London. Many people think that the traditional dish in London is fish and chips. That’s obsolete because now is the curry.

When you visit a new place, you learn about different customs, you taste new foods, you see different landscapes, you learn words of other languages… You absolutely have to broaden your mind travelling!

DOES TRAVEL BROADEN YOUR MIND?

At present, travel is considered one of the greatest activities we can carry out, because many scientists affirm travelling opens our minds, namely, it suggests many things to the mind.

Our culture shows us to believe that travel is necessary to our experience, but why?  The people’s answer is: because when we go to an unknown place we have to adapt to their customs, for example in India the cow is sacred and we can break this believe. If we go to China, we will probably taste new food as the curry, and if we go to the Amazons, we can’t communicate with the tribes because we have to learn their language to understand them.

In my point of view, to do this kind of activities I described we need a lot of money. But what happens if we haven’t got money or we don’t want to spend it travelling to theses place? It’s not necessary to go to an unknown place to enjoy and open the mind.

As far as I concerned, I will take any train which is not much expensive and I will travel around the country, observing the landscape and the scenery, and to do it easier I will take my bicycle, I will prepare a bag with the lunch and I will begin to pedal without destine and without restrictions. In this situation, when our mind is clear and we are thinking in nothing, then, appears another person who is doing the same as you. We talk, we laugh and we lunch together. This way you meet a real friend, and the most important: we achieve the extremely happiness which produced open our mind.

It seems to me that broaden the mind is easier as we believe. Broaden our mind is just enjoying the day we have passed and keep these positive energies to do the best.

But I’m not saying that travel around the world is bad, only that if we haven’t the money to do it, we don’t have to be in our house all day saying: “I don’t have money to travel so it’s better to stay in home” because this opinion produces us negative energies. And these negative energies have the opposite effect of opening the mind.

People have the custom of waste their money travelling to broad her mind when it’s as simple as have a train ticket or a bicycle. This is because we don’t know how to keep positive energies to broaden our mind. We have to learn who to be optimist.

DOES TRAVEL BROADEN THE MIND

Travelling around the world is one of the most enriching activities that has ever existed. It is a possibility to see different parts of our world and it makes us more conscious about our planet. For this reason, I feel very strongly that travelling opens the mind.

Firstly, nowadays people travel a lot and tourism is growing very fast. Taking a vacation is one of the most important things for people, and travelling is becoming a form of entertainment. In my view, it is more than a form of entertainment; It is a way to grow up as an individual and interact with other people.

I am convinced that learning about other customs is the best way to see how different countries are and to increase our knowledge, far away from home. It seems to me that everybody should taste new food, have new experiences and get away from the routine, at least a few times a year. You can also visit many different landscapes like the desert, the mountain, the sea or the jungle, what makes you be in contact with nature.

On the other hand, if you travel, you will talk to people with different beliefs and they will show you their traditions and a lot of activities that you have never participated in. At the same time, you can improve or learn foreign languages and broaden your cultural knowledge. Now is very important to speak languages and it is clear to me that travelling abroad is the best way to learn them.

To finish with, I’m sure that if you travel you will see a lot of things from different points of view. You will become more aware of other ideas and arguments; You aren’t closed of mind. Definitively, travelling is a good thing and it broadens the mind.

GAME OVER. Jaume E. (1r batx B)

Game Over

Last Monday, a man whose name I don’t remember, sorry, came to our school to talk to us about his story and his problem. When I came into the class, I was surprised because this man was in wheelchair. He came from the Insitut Guttman, a hospital for people with mobility problems, where he went for the first time some years ago, when he was very young. He had a motorcycle accident that deprived him of his legs mobility and he almost die, he was in a coma for some weeks. His problem was that this night he drank too much, so he wasn’t able to ride his motorcycle but unfortunately, he did it. His life suddenly changed since this moment, he was a young and brave boy that couldn’t walk as his friends. He told us that he was very depressed the first month, but he told to himself that he couldn’t be depressed in a deep hole the rest of his life, so he decided to continue living and having fun. He continued with his degree and he went to live to Canada for some few years, he met girls and he also and surprisingly for everybody, he continued doing sport. He warned us to be careful if in a future we ride a motorcycle or we drive a car, because just a little distraction, a little mistake, can change our life and even we can lose it.

I was really amazed when I hear the story of this guy, because even being 30 years old and not being able to walk, he looked like the happiest person in this world. I think he is an example for all of us, when we complain that we can’t get this new and cool mobile phone, or when we don’t have this trendy t-shirt, because we have to value what we have, because we are young and we can walk, run and jump, something that we never consider, and something that this man can not do, and even that, he is happier than more of the richest people in the world. So we have to be more thankful for what we have, and in a future, we will have to take care before driving a car o riding a motorcycle.

GAME OVER. Eulàlia C. (1r batx A)

Game over

There are a lot of people that don't care about wearing helmet, or they don't put their sit belt on. These terrible mistakes can change their lives forever, and that's what I'm going to talk about.

Our brain is like a computer, when a computer crashes with something, it breaks. It's the same as our brain, if a person who is driving a motorbike is hit by a car, his brain will stop working. And if the brain stops working, a part of the body (and sometimes all the body) will be paralyzed. We saw a video about people that have changed their lives and had started from zero. Like a game, game over.

I think remake a life is very difficult, and the difficulty increases when you can't move a part of your body, for example the legs, and you have to move all day with a wheelchair. And people that can move the other parts of their body are lucky, because there are people that had became paraplegic in a few minutes, only because of their big and horrible mistake of not wearing the seat belt on or the helmet.

The man that came to school to talk to us about the importance on the roads, was in a wheelchair because of an accident. When he was in the hospital, he thought that all would be worse because of his mishap, but he became stronger and he finished his career, went to study abroad, meet new people...

This story should make us think. We sometimes think that we can't do something and we start despairing and crying. This is absolutely not the solution. We have to continue the life and appreciate it, because there's only one.

GAME OVER. Jordi B. (1r batx A)

GAME OVER

Last Monday, we had the privilege to assist to a talk about motorcycle accidents prevention. The guy that was speaking to us was pretty nice and he was perfect for this job: He was talking during an hour to say us the two types of accidents that you can have in a motorbike and that we always have to wear helmet. He used large and graphic examples to make us easy the difficult comprehension of the words that he was saying.

Without jokes, the examples were very useful because I believe that with them, people remember easily the talk and consequently, they are more careful when they catch their vehicles. Also I think that is very kind that a person who has had an accident, helps other people to prevent them.

The talk itself I believe that was right, because it was different from the ones that we usually have and I’m sure that’s the only I will remember.

Finally, I want to say that when I will have a motorbike I will always wear the helmet!

GAME OVER. Mariona E. (1r batx B)

“GAME OVER”

Last Monday, a paraplegic man of the “Institut Guttmann” came to make a talk about traffic accidents and spinal injuries. At first, when we entered in the class, I didn’t see anything unusual about the guy because he looked like a nice and healthyMA man, but when I saw the wheelchair, I knew he was paraplegic.
I was a little bit worried because I have a paraplegic friend and I thought the talk could make me remind his case, but I realized it could be a good way to make us conscious about what we have.

The talk was so interesting and he showed us a video about different cases. It wasn’t boring because the guy was talking friendly and making jokes.
I was very impressed at the end because he explained us that he’s living alone, he drives a car and he has a completely independent life.

I think it was a necessary talk because we always are doing dangerous things and we don’t realize how our life can change if we have an accident. For this, it is very important to put on the helmet if you drive a motorbike or a bike, or, for example, if you are drunk or your friends do, you mustn’t drive or going in a car whose driver is drunk because you might have a mortal accident. It’s always your choice, you have to make your own decisions and think about what are the consequences.

I can’t avoid thinking about what I would do if I was paraplegic or quadriplegic. It’s a radical change in your life, you have to learn everything again. Sometimes, you can’t be independent for yourself and you need the help of others. You feel like a load, like a stone that is useless. I think you have to be a very strong person to overcome this situation.

To finish with, I liked so much the talk because it made us realize that any day our lives might change or end. We must be conscious about what we have and what we may loose. Don’t let your life tells you “Game Over”.
