A FUNNY MOMENT IN SUMMER. Sara F. (3r ESO A)

I spent my last holidays at "HOTEL REYMAR" in "Malgrat De Mar".My family and I went there by train. We stayed there seven days (a week) in the hotel, in front of the beach , where we had wonderful views.

Every summer we go there for vacations , every year, so we had known all monuments , the village, beaches and the shops.

A funny moment in Malgrat was when I met Paula Batet about in the middle of Santa Susana , the other small village near Malgrat De Mar.

Paula and I were angry maybe about 6 months ago, and we talked it and we returned to our friendship very happy, so we spend our vacations together, we went to the village making a lot of photos to remember that summer and we had a lot of fun making videos about we doing skate.

She came to the hotel and we went to the swimming pool and we made new friends from New Zealand , Wales, Australia, Germany and Polonia , Then we gave our Instragram and Snapchats Nicknames and telephon numbers and we had communication with them in English so Paula and I sometimes practise English with them and they , then know a little bit of Spanish.

GERARD TAUSTE ... IN TAUSTE!

This holidays I went with my family to Zaragoza It is a beautiful place for sightseeing because there are so many places to visit, but the most famous around the world is “La Catedral del Pilar”. When I was there I didn’t go to visit Zaragoza, I went to visit Tauste.

Yes, I know it’s my last name, It’s because we went to Zaragoza, the distance from Barcelona to Tauste is two hundred and forty kilometers and Zaragoza to Tauste is only forty-five kilometers more or less it’s more comfortable to stay there three days to visit specially Tauste and the other days to go to visit other places.

When I went to Tauste I went to see the church in the middle of the city, called Santa Maria and Sant Anton, that includes to mudejar Aragonés world patrimony.

The celebrations on this village were in honour to Sant Miguel and the virgin of Sancho Abarca and it’s celebrated in April. Tauste today saved an old celebration because there are so rare. All Tauste was mudejar and these buildings are built with a mathematic art.

For me, the most shocking object I saw was a little statue of Sant George on the door of a church called Sant George. The virgin of Tauste is similar to “Pilarica”, the difference was the pedestal.

A FUNNY DAY OF SUMMER - SINGING IN THE RAIN

This photo was taken in Disneyland Paris.

My family and I were waiting in front of an attraction and someone’s said to me: what a beautiful girl! I turned back and I saw “Mariona” and “Queralt” running to me.

They are our friends and they live in “Sant Andreu” too. They came to us and then we talked about the attractions and other Disneyland Parks. Later we wanted to go under the umbrella in the photography. When we were under, it started raining. We were under it but we got wet.

Then we waited outside, it started raining again and we didn’t get wet. I didn’t understand that but it was funny because we were under the water and we didn’t get wet! After that we went to parachutes. That was really boring for me because it didn’t have much speed. However the parachutes were amazing for my sister (“Queralt”), and for our friends (“Queralt” and “Mariona”), but it was boring for my parents and their parents too. Then we got different routes.

When Disney’s show ended at 23:30 p.m., we went to the last Disney opened shop, and again we met them there! I didn’t believe it.

We went together to the parking. “Mariona” said that she wanted to sleep with us and she came to our car. Then we stopped the car in front of her trailer. We got inside it and we saw a very playful dog (I love dogs). When I was outside the trailer, the dog started to run to me and he threw me to the ground and licked my face.
That was a funny day, the world is a handkerchief.

AN ADVENTURE DAY

In the middle of the summer holiday, I went with my parents and my sister to Queixans, a mountain town located in La Cerdanya. During the winter we go skiing every weekend, but in the summer we just go there one or two weeks.

In Queixans we can do a lot of different activities like going camping, hiking through the mountain, rafting, horse riding, playing golf, going to the cinema, going shopping…With a mountain next to you, there are many activities to do!

On the third day in La Cerdanya, I met my friend Marc (he is in the other class) and his parents. We went to Porté Puymorens, a village in Andorra. There, we went into a park with some ‘tirolines’. We rode on them across the Passet lake, located in the  National Park of the Catalan Pyrenees.

At the beginnig of the tour I was really scared because it was my first time there. Marc was the first one, then me and at the end his father. His mother was taking photos all the time. There were twelve ‘tirolines’, and you could stop when you were scared. There was also bungee jumping, but we didn’t have enough time. There were a lot of people shouting and screaming, it was fun!

Finally I just want to recommend you to do it. It was a very great experience. My favorite part was when I touched the water with my hand when I was in the ‘tirolina’, it was very cold. This was a memorable day and an unforgettable moment!

MY FUNNIEST MOMENT

My funniest moment…well, my holidays were funny as everybody. But if I have to choose the best moment I had, I would choose one during my holidays in Paris.

In September, I went to Paris with my sister and my parents. We stayed there for five days. We walked a lot to see all the monuments, churches and museums we could. But on the last day, we were all really tired. We had to buy a spray for muscle pain, because we couldn’t walk.

In the morning we woke up early and we went to the center of the city to take the metro. We went to the Louvre Museum. We walked for all the museum, because my sister did Art History during her last year of high school and she wanted to explain us some of the paintings and sculptures. But my father and I couldn’t walk more because we were really tired. So, we stayed in a chamber of the museum. We were bored so we decided to parody the pictures on the wall. The chamber was very big so we could parody lots of pictures. The people who were walking through the chamber looked at us. We were doing selfies and laughing.

When my mother and my sister came, we showed them our parodies. They also laugh with our faces. Finally we had a very quiet and funny morning that we can remember.

MY CLASSMATE CRISTINA Meritxell D. (2n BATX B)

My classmate Cristina

Cristina is my classmate. I don’t have a big relationship with her but she always helps me and I have affection to her for all our years together.

Cris is a medium-height person and she is slim. Her face is clear-skinned and round. She has brown-eyes and they aren’t very big. I think her nose is very nice. It is small. I look at it very much because I don’t like mine. Cristina has curved lips, her mouth is small and her teeth are pretty nice. Cris has long, straight and black hair. It is lovely.

I think she is very creative because I have seen things that show this. I believe that people have to be sensible to say things to her because she is very sensitive. Also, she is not very talkative, but she is very generous. She always helps others when they ask.

In short we can see that she is a good girl and beautiful.

A YEAR WITHOUT YOU

During all this year without my English teacher, I have done a lot of important things:

I began 4th ESO and my English teacher was another. She also explains well the syllabus. It was different. But last year was like that, and nobody could change it. So I started taking classes and at the end of the first term I got a 10. In many ways I think that if you are good at a language, you will be good although they change your teacher. It’s mainly the same but with other fixations or obsessions of the new professor. I got really satisfactory marks in all subjects and I also passed the PET Cambridge exam. I’m still taking particular English classes to improve my speaking level with a qualified person from Manchester.

This summer I went to a campus called My Kingswood, near London. All the people spoke English and we did many activities like climbing, driving quads, running races… I made a lot of friends; I learnt English and, the most important thing: I had fun. Oh, I nearly forget this: last course, I was in an European project called Comenius. It was about the climate changing. There were four schools working in it: They were from Turkey, Portugal, Germany and our school, from  Catalunya. During this project I had to travel to Germany to work in the project with the other boys. It was a nice experience but the project was a bit disorganized. Obviously, to communicate with the other students we used English. These are the main English related events.

In other aspects, I can highlight that I’m still playing hockey, and… Well, I didn’t change too much. I love travelling. This summer, my family and I went on a cruise around the Baltic Sea.  It had been my favourite travel because we visited a lot of cities and all of them were spectacular. The city that I liked most was St. Petersburg. It was spectacular! There are lots of enormous gold palaces! I think one of the reasons of this love is because we studied the Russian Revolution in History classes. Now I understand why people wanted to change their country… There were incredible rich people with palaces and big mansions and then, poor people starving and looking how the governments still their money.
