#10YEARSCHALLENGE Max P. (1 BTX B)

10 years ago we won a basketball match, when we were just children and the only thing that we wanted was taking the ball and throw it to the basket case.

Now, we have grown up mental and physically, of course.

2009

Hugo, Robert, Héctor, David and me were tiny boys with a cute voice and we were lovely, but now we are like big closets with a deep voice.

I think that if we don't count our bodies, we are the same little boys (of character I mean).

2019

Now we are a good people, we make the people laugh and smile and we have learned a lot of things together.

Although in different moments during our lives we have had to go away, we are a team, a family and nothing will destroy our friendship.

In this picture from the 10 years challenge, we can see how  the climate change has affected the earth.

As we can see in the second picture the ice that was covering all that part in the first picture, now is melt. We’ve been facing this problem since a long time ago, but we still prefer to look away instead of trying to solve it.

People can’t see that it is a serious issue, and it is actually happening because of us. We don’t own this world, we share it with other animals, and other individuals, which, I’m sure, are not the ones who are causing this tragedy.

It’s not a funny thing that some species of animals are disappearing because they have to survive in a difficult state of the land. It’s not good neither for us nor for them.

I don’t really know why was this challenge created, but I would like to think that it pretends to open a little bit our eyes and make us change somehow. We still have time to recover the earth, to be more emphatic with the environment and to change our bad habits, because at the end of the day we all sleep under the same sky.

Here you can see the my sister’s evolution, as well as mine. It's amazing how we have changed so much in just ten years!

In this picture my sister, Joana, was newborn. I really don’t remember much of these days, because I was only six years old. Anyways, I know that during that time Joana used to appear in every picture with her eyes close or crying. Also, when my sister came to the world my mum said that she had an extremely big nose, which isn’t strictly true, but my grandpa had a really big nose, so it is understandable my mum’s fears about my sister growing up with an enormous nose in the middle of her face. Now all my family laughs when someone tells this story.

2009

First, I was so happy to have a sister, but a few months later I realized that my whole life was changing. I thought that I would never have my mom just for me, and that my sister was going to steal a half of my bedroom and my space.

Also, when we were fighting It was always my fault because I’m older. But then when everyday I woke up and saw her, I could not describe the feeling, It’s just a lot of joy and happiness to have more family to give love.

Now I can assure that my little sister is one of the best things in my life. Because I’m glad to help her with the homework or anything (I feel responsible and smart).

2019

We are like the sun and the moon, like two different worlds. She likes football and I like dancing, she likes movies and I prefer books, she loves meat and I’m  vegetarian...but we have the same blood and more important than that, we are sisters by change and friends by choice.

In the first picture you can see my sister, my brother, my cousin and me. We are placed in order of age. I had one plastic dish and a plastic spoon because  when I was younger I always played to mums and dads.

In the photo it was summer and we were in my grandmother’s home in Breda, near Hostalric.

2009

In the second picture you can see the same people and in the same position. In this picture I am fourteen years old. It is also in summer but not in the same home. This home is the one of the other grandparents in Santa Maria de Palautordera near Sant Celoni.

2019

In my family every year we take a picture all the sisters and brother and my cousin; it is like a tradition. Because when you see them later, we can see how much we have grown.

Here is my 10 year challenge!

But this time I'm with one of my essential pillars, my best friends.

Growing up with people you appreciate and who show you every day that they love you is wonderful. I have known them for more than 10 years and I hope to continue getting old by their side.

The pass of time is nice as there are giant changes, which I remember now and I laugh, because every time I'm with them I keep laughing like the first day, I've learned to live each moment as if it was the last one with the people I want because you never know which will be the last word you have with them

And these have only been the first 10 years,  I hope they are not the last.

A lot has changed since 2009, right now we’re in 2019 and I can’t believe how fast everything can change, it feels like its gone in a flash. Right now I am sixteen years old and I’m going to be seventeen in April, which I guess it’s exciting, and who knows what the future has in store for me, hopefully something positive.

2009

In the first photo I was seven or eight years old, my favorite things to do where singing and drawing, I used to sing in the school festivals every year even if I wasn’t the best.
I don’t think that has changed at all since then, even if I don’t do these things as often I still enjoy them a lot when I do them.

2019

The second photo was taken two weeks ago in Blanes. And my haircut is very similar right now as how it was when I was a kid it's even shorter now, and to think that my hair was almost down to my waist a month ago… but anyway, something I haven’t said yet  is how much my personality has changed, it's kind of obvious I would change sooner or later but I used to be an annoying child I think so that’s a good thing.

In conclusion in ten years many things happened, many ups and downs and even if I’m young still, a lot of dumb mistakes. I hope that in ten years I will grow as a person for the better.

#10YEARSCHALLENGE Albert B. (1 btx B)

This is my #10yearschallenge. The first picture was made in 2009 and the second one was made last summer in the trip I made to Berlin.

As you can see I have change a lot. The responsible of this very big change is puberty, that has make me do a lot of changes. Now I am taller, I have a different voice and of course I am not a child. But something has not changed on me: I continue smiling; I am still a very funny person who always sees the positive things in life, and I am very proud of it.

Let’s speak about the first picture, as I said, it was made in 2009 year, I don’t know if it was at the beginning or at the end but what I remember is where it was made. As you can see I was sat down on a seat very typical of the sport centres, but this was not a normal sport centre. This picture was made in “Palau Blaugrana” where the sections of hockey, basketball and other sports play the matches. I was there not only to see the match. I wear the sports T-shirt of our school, the reason is because on the midfield of hockey matches the kids play an informal match, and I can say that nowadays this is still done.

2009

On the second picture I am in Berlin, the photo was taken in a small piece of the Wall of Berlin that now is still there and it is a very popular place to visit because of its history. It is located on the south-west of the city, very near to the actual Turkish neighbourhood. On my back you can see the typical graffiti of this wall where there is painted Karl Marx.

Time flies but it is very important to preserve our essence.

Narcís Sala Stadium
#10yearschallenge

This is my particular #10yearschallenge about the stadium of our village, Narcís Sala stadium, where the football games of U.E. Sant Andreu take place.

The 1st photo was taken from our school in 2009 and the 2nd is taken few days before one of the most historic games against Atlético de Madrid.

In 2009 the stadium didn’t have chairs in the stands but after a big remodelation they were added with the colours of the Catalan Independence flag.

2009

Another difference is the roof of the grandstands, that before was in my opinion, ugly, and had a grey colour but now, due to a windy day when a part broke, it is transparent so it’s more beautiful.

Finally another change between the 2 photos is that the sponsors around the football pitch have changed because through these years the football club has been more known. In the 1st photo sponsors were from village shops and the sponsors in the 2nd photo are from international brands such as Sportium.

2019
In conclusion, through these 10 years Narcis Sala has improved a lot its image and it’s more beautiful than in 2009.

#10YEARSCHALLENGE Mar C. (1 btx A)

Hello, my name is Mar Casellas del Olmo and I’m 16 years old. I was born in Barcelona on 15th November 2002. My parents are Judith del Olmo and Josep Casellas. Last week our English teacher told us that we had to do a writing about the “10 years challenge”, at first I thought that I could do it about climate change or something like that. But today 28 of January I’ve had an idea. I’m going to do this 10 years challenge about me and my parents.
In 2009 I was 6 years old and a very happy girl. My hobbies were reading, singing and spending time with my family. I also liked making cakes with my mum and going to the shows that my dad made.
In the first picture there are two people, my mum and me, in the mountain, as you can see we are screaming and having a lot of fun. I’ve got more pictures about that day and all of them are as cute as this one. The love that I had at this moment was amazing, because I was a little child playing with his mum. I actually miss a bit those years.
In the second picture you can realize that the two people that appear are my dad and me, with a very big poster that says CASELLAS, our surname. This picture was made in Calella de Palafrugell. It was at night and we were going to a restaurant. Since I’m a baby I have loved that the people that are taller than me take me in their arms, it is very cool seeing the world from another perspective!
Then you can see me, in our hotel room reading a book named “L’enigma de les ones”, 10 years latter I still have the book in my bookshelf. When I was a baby my mum didn’t take me to a park with the other boys, no, she made me go to a library, what a wonderful idea! I haven't got brothers, so the books and their stories have accompanied me a lot.
Finally, you can see my actual pictures of 2019. I’m very happy with my parents, and I love them a lot. Yes, I’m a teenager and as it is usual,  we fight a bit but I really don’t care, they are my parents and I love them the same or more than 10 years ago.

SOMETHING INSPIRING. Frida L. (2n ESO)

MY INSPIRATION: VOYAGER SPACE PROBE

My inspiration is not a person or a living creature. My inspiration is a space probe, called Voyager.

The mission of Voyager was to study the outer Solar System and its goal was to arrive at Jupiter and Saturn. But after it arrived at Saturn, it kept going, and after 41 years it still explores the Deep Space Network to send information to Earth.

You would ask why this inspires me. Well, it is because when I have an obstacle I think about Voyager that it kept going, so I must do the same. Because I have to take every step of my life like Voyager when it kept going.

I know it is very strange to believe in a space probe but for me it’s not only a space probe, but it is an inspiration, a project to continue exploring the outer space. I like astronomy I always read about it, and reading articles of new discoveries, is how Voyager became my inspiration.

Here you have a video about it.

I don’t really know how to start explaining who my inspiration in this world is because I’ve got many people that contribute me every day something different and it’s hard to choose one person. The main people that make me improve my way of being a person are, my mum that always says me that if I have a dream I don’t have to surrender and I have to follow it till I get it. Another person is my dad which he sometimes explains me the things that are difficult for me to study and he sometimes helps me to choose clothes. And also my friends, because they teach me different emotions that I will have over the years with them, some of them are good such as happiness and some of them are bad like sadness. But when I am in their side they always make me feel really happy. But If I would have the chance to choose a famous person, it would be a young dancer called “Daniela Blasco”.

First I’m going to introduce her. She is called Daniela Blasco and she is 13 years old, like me. She has got 2 older brothers. She lives in Mallorca, Spain, and she is famous because she dances. She trains In “Empire of Dreams” which is a famous Dance Academy. Her dance style is called Urban Dance and I like the way that she dances. She has been to LOTS and LOTS of competitions around the world, she has been to Got Talent when she was 11, and she had the golden bottom which it means she did it really well. She has been to international competitions and she was won lots of them. She danced in a concert of Justin Bieber in Madrid in 2016 with another dancer called Oscar Diaz who also dances in the same academy. Daniela, as I said she goes to Empire of Dreams where famous dancers go sometimes to teach them, such as Duc Anh Tran who is a very famous dancer that lives in Hungary, and he has his own dance school called R3D ONE dance studio in Hungary, and he travels to Mallorca to teach them some of his choreographies.

Daniela is my example to follow because I think that the way she transmits her feelings when she dances in the videos, it makes me feel happy and motivated. When I dance I try to feel the same way as she dances and the way she transmits this positive energy to people. I think she doesn’t do a simple choreography, she makes different faces which makes you pay more attention on her. When she dances she has fun, and you can feel it because it makes you happy and very impressed on her…. I think she is and she will be a very famous dancer because she doesn’t stop following her dream of being a professional choreographer. So, she makes me feel more comfortable when I’m dancing and I try to express my feelings throw every step that I make. Especially in the dance competitions that I try to give it all to the public like Daniela does. But actually I think that everyone has a different personality and a different way to manage his life, and it’s Ok to be inspired but you have to try to inspire of yourself because I’m sure you’ve got amazing talents that other people could not have them, and you are very fortunate. I also like the way that she makes up and dresses. When she dances she usually wears Nike clothes which I love them, and when she is in a normal day she wears more elegant clothes. And every day she makes up with Nyx cosmetics which they are very good.

One of my dreams would be meet with her, and to dance with her in her dance classes.

I hope that you have learnt who is the person that inspires me and why.

Here we leave a video of her.

Inspirational people: RIHANNA

There are a lot of inspirational persons in our life. Not only the famous people who often have very complicate histories behind them, also the people around us who we think we know.

For me, there is a very big amount of people that have suffered this kind of things that had made them stronger as suffering bullying or this type of traumatic experiences.

My example is Rihanna. She is a very famous singer, winner of 9 Grammys, 6 America Music awards, 4 MTV video music awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, etc. She has very famous songs as “Diamonds”, “Umbrella”, “Love on the brain” or “Work” with Drake.

But she has a very important and inspirational life before she got the fame. Her family lived in a modest house in her natal island, Barbados. She grew up there and when she was very young, her father attacked her mother. He also consumed crack and alcohol. Fortunately, her father stopped doing those things and she forgave him. But she would never forget this.

This bad experience is not the only bad experience she had. And this one, is very recent. Her exboyfriend, Chris Brown started doing the same things that her father does with her mum.

She denounced him because of this, and she followed with her life. As you can see, Rihanna never gave up in front of this bad situation and of course she denounces him. Chris Brown hasn’t forgotten it yet, because now almost the 99% of the people see him as the boy who attacked that famous, spectacular and brilliant singer: Rihanna.

Since that, she has been in many campaigns against gender violence and with a lot of campaigns for the women’s rights in the countries near Barbados where, as she said, “The women’s rights have been forgotten there”.  She also thanks all the boyfriends that she had for being very bad but without using violence. Because she says that this is not a way for solving anything.

Someone who has been
an inspiration for me:
Kim NamJoon

Kim NamJoon was born in Ilsan, Seoul, South Korea. He was a normal child with normal dreams, but when he was in the high school he listened to the song “sky” of the group Epik High and he started to love rap. He began composing his own raps and he practiced a lot. He was one of the most intelligent guy in the school (he has an IQ of 148). He was invited to an audition for an underground hip-hop agency, where he met Untouchable's Sleepy, who was a judge at the audition. Sleepy was so impressed by his rap skills that he kept his phone number and passed it on to Big Hit producer Bang ShiHyuk, he auditioned and he became the first BTS member that joined to the company.

He received many bad reviews because for his appearance when them debuted, and he always was reading that bad reviews because he wanted to improve and shut up the haters. NamJoon started to learn english watching “friends” and now he can speak fluently in this language. He wrote with HoSeok and YoonGi the chapters (4 raps dedicated to the haters).

In 2018 BTS finished the “Love Yourself” era (3 albums that tries to teach you that you have to love yourself before than someone else) and they started to focus in the “Love Myself” campaign that they launched with Unicef. NamJoon did  a speech at the UN:

“I was born in Ilsan, a city near Seoul, South Korea. It’s a really beautiful place with a lake, hills, and even an annual flower festival. I spent a very happy childhood there, and I was just an ordinary boy. I used to look up at the night sky and wonder, and I used to dream the dreams of a boy. I used to imagine that I was a superhero who could save the world. In an intro to one of our early albums, there’s a line that says, “My heart stopped when I was maybe nine or 10.” Looking back, I think that’s when I started to worry about what other people thought of me and starting seeing myself through their eyes. I stopped looking up at the night skies, the stars. I stopped daydreaming. Instead, I just tried to jam myself into the molds that other people made. Soon, I began to shut out my own voice and started to listen to the voices of others. No one called out my name, and neither did I. My heart stopped and my eyes closed shut. So, like this, I, we, all lost our names. We became like ghosts.

But I had one sensory and that was music. There was a small voice inside of me that said, “Wake up, man, and listen to yourself.” But it took me quite a long time to hear music calling my real name. Even after making the decision to join BTS, there were a lot of hurdles. Some people might not believe but, most people thought we were hopeless. And sometimes, I just wanted to quit. But I think I was very lucky that I didn’t give it all up. And I’m sure that I, and we, will keep stumbling and falling like this.

BTS has become artists performing in huge stadiums and selling millions of albums right now, but I am still an ordinary 24-year-old guy. If there’s anything that I’ve achieved, it was only possible that I have my other BTS members right by my side and because of the love and support that our ARMY fans all over the world make for us. And maybe I made a mistake yesterday. But yesterday’s me is still me.

Today, I am who I am with all of my faults and my mistakes. Tomorrow, I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that’ll be me too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I am, for who I was, and for who I hope to become. I’d like to say one last thing. After releasing our Love Yourself albums and launching the “Love Myself” campaign, we started to hear remarkable stories from all our fans over the world – how our message helped them overcome their hardships in life and start loving themselves. Those stories constantly remind us of our responsibility. So, let’s take all one step. We have learned to love ourselves, so now I urge you to speak yourself.

I’d like to ask all of you, “What is your name? What excites you and makes your heart beat?” Tell me your story. I want to hear your voice, and I want to hear your conviction. No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin colour, your gender identity, just speak yourself. Find your name and find your voice by speaking yourself.
I’m Kim NamJoon, and also RM of BTS. I’m an idol, and I’m an artist from a small town in Korea. Like most people, I’ve made many and plenty mistakes in my life. I have many faults, and I have many more fears, but I’m going to embrace myself as hard as I can, and I’m starting to love myself, gradually, little by little.

What is your name? Speak yourself.”

He is really my inspiration, and I also think he is an angel like all the BTS members. Maybe with this composition people will start understanding why they are so important to me or why I love them so much. This probably will not happen but it doesn’t matter.

They can’t stopping me loving myself.

My name is Emma Marco.

Here we leave the link of the speech ... it's worthwhile!
