THE WALKING DEAD
There are a
lot of programmes that I enjoy watching. Most of them are sitcoms, like Modern
Family, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.
I
also love cartoons, like The Simpsons, American Dad, Family Guy and Futurama.
But there is a drama serie that I love specially. It is The Walking Dead.
The Walking
Dead is an American series which is about Rick, a policeman who, after a coma,
wakes up in an apocalyptic world because of a zombie plague which has killed
about the 90% of the population in the world.
Rick goes
to Atlanta to find his family and start a new life in this whole new world.
I love this serie because I think it’s one of
the best programmes in the television nowadays – most of the American critics
have rated it as the best serie broadcasted in the cable television-.
The Walking
Dead is broadcasted in USA by AMC (American Movie Classics), an
American private TV channel. It is received by approximately 98,000,000
households, which is the 86% of the American households with television.
In Spain we receive this drama through the FOX
Spain channel, which is, again, a private channel, with about 400,000 viewers.
We also can watch it in laSexta, but it usually comes really later than FOX –
about 8 months since the season has started in FOX
The Walking Dead has been released in 125
countries all over the world and an estimated audience of 200 million people distributed
in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia.
In conclusion, The Walking Dead is a terrific
TV show, with a very impressive plot and really good actors, but it might be a
little bloody when they kill zombies, but if you can stand with it, you will
start watching it and you will love it too.
I recommend it to every person who is looking
for a very good programme in the actual television, which is not much good,
with so many reality shows, soap operas and all the boring “pink press”
programmes, like Sálvame or things like that. It’s a nice getaway from the
trash programmes that are nowadays in the television.
