El Collell
Last Wednesday most
of the students of our course went to El Collell during three days
approximately. Our teachers told us to be in front of the school at 8:05 a.m.
They told us to be punctual, but we stayed there during one hour more or less
waiting for the bus.
We got out of
Barcelona at 9:20 a.m. We went on the bus during one hour and a half until we
arrived at Banyoles, there the teachers told us to have breakfast and we had one
hour of free time. Then we came back to the bus and we had about twenty more
minutes before we arrived to El Collell.
We arrived there and the first thing
that we did was to talk with the monitors that we had during those three
fantastic days. When they finished, all of us took our suitcases and we went to
our bedrooms. After that, we stayed at the cloister before we had lunch. All
the students had to set the table one time in groups of 6 or 7 people. After
lunch we had some free time to spend with friends and with our monitors.
Then
our teachers took us to the blue room where we completed a questionnaire about
our classmates, that paper was used to form the groups. When we finished the
monitors told us to do three groups of eighteen people more or less. The first
group went to do laser tag, quads and archery, the second group, mine, went to
do BTT, and the last group went to do adventure camp. The BTT return was a little bit difficult, because it was all ups and there
weren’t many downs. When we finished, most of us went to have a shower in the
free time that we had. We had dinner and late at night we played to a game
called the flag.
To be sincere I don’t know who won the game. I went to sleep
early because I was too tired to stay awake.
The next day after we had
breakfast, each group went with their monitor, the group that I was in went to
do laser tag, quads and archery, if I had to choose one of these three
activities I would choose the quads. Quads were very funny, laser tag too but I
liked quads more than laser tag. In the afternoon the monitors told us to do
river rafting or orienteering, the majority chose the orienteering because the
water of the river was very cold and we hadn’t got swimsuits. To do the
orienteering we did groups of six, seven people. I was in the first group with
my friends, we nearly got lost in the woods but we arrived safely with some mud
on our shoes, we were the first group to arrive at the end of the route. One
group got lost in the woods but they finally were founded.
After we had a
shower and we had dinner, we all went to the theatre where all the people that wanted
to sing, sang in the karaoke that they had there. When the karaoke had finished
we went to a disco that they had there until twelve o’clock. It was the
birthday of one monitor and we sang her happy birthday. And finally we went to
sleep in our rooms. In the morning we all did our suitcase and leave the rooms,
then to end the day the second group did the adventure camp with some
psychological activities. After lunch we came back to Barcelona and here we ended
our little trip.
I liked a lot these
three days, the activities were all very funny and cool. All the monitors were
very friendly. In the rooms there were some bugs that were a little bit
disgusting, but the building and its rooms were good. I would repeat this
experience because I talked with people that maybe I don’t talk so often and
because you do sport in different ways that maybe you can’t usually do.
