Our school organizes many
exchanges for the students in different places of the world. Three weeks ago,
some students of 3rd of ESO, including me, went to Oxted, a small village in
England. We stayed there for one week, settled in houses with different
families. They were really friendly.
Considering that in England
is always very cold, we had to wear our warm clothing and of course, our umbrella.
The first two days we stayed in the school, which was really big, with lots of
buildings and lots of people! The school system was completely different,
because all the teachers had their own class, and the students are who have to
go to the classes. Another thing is that Oxted students wear uniform.
London is a very famous
city, and a lot of tourists visit it because it is amazing. We went to London
twice. The first time we visited it we went to Picadilly Circus, Hamleys,
National Art Gallery, Covent Garden and British Museum. The second time we travelled on the underground to London Bridge. We went
to Tower Bridge and after we boarded onto a boat in Tower Pier, which took us
across River Thames. After that, we visited Westminster Abbey, the Houses of
Parliament, the Big Ben…It was an exciting day.
Although London is more popular, Brighton is wonderful as well. We visited the Royal
Pavilion and the Pier. There were a lot of nice shops in Brighton and an
enormous shopping centre! But my favourite place of Brighton was the beach, it
was gorgeous.
This exchange
has been an unforgettable experience for me. I would repeat it without a doubt.
I think it helps you to improve your English pretty much, and above all, you
have lots and lots of fun.
