DEMOCRATS VS REPUBLICANS Vicenç C. (1 BTX B)

Hello everybody!

I’m Vicenç Capsir, from 1^st Batxillerat ‘’B’’ and I’m talking to you because yesterday I went to US Democrats and Republicans’ speech. First of all, I’ll try to make you understand which are the positions of both parties, because there are a lot of differences between them. Try to read all the article, because it will be so interesting!

In this speech I heard two people: Eduardo Soto, who defended the Democrat party, and Bettina Inclán, who defended the Republican party. They talked to us about the electoral campaigns of Hillary Clinton (Democrat candidate) and Donald Trump (Republican candidate). After looking at the two candidatures, I think you need more information for your chosen party, right? 

Ok, let me see, I will show you five cents of the electoral campaign of both and you’ll compare which one is better:

Democrats campaign:

-        Philosophy: liberal, of left-wing movement

-        Economic ideas: minimum salaries and progressive collection of taxes

-        Social and human ideas: social responsibility and live in community

-        Reducing the spend of money for military material

-        It supports the homosexual marriage 

-        It thinks that the abort would be legal

-        There is a support in the party for the moratorium in the deportations

-        They support the universal health care

Republicans campaign:

-        Philosophy: conservative, of right-wing movement

-        Economic ideas: the taxes don’t duty be incremented for anybody

-        Social and human ideas: justice and individual rights

-        Increase in the expenditure for military material

-        It’s against the homosexual marriage

-        It thinks that the abortion sgould be illegal

-        They’re against the amnesty for all undocumented immigrant

-        They support the private health care, they’re in disagree with public sanity

They started the speech talking about the two parties and they showed us the big differences between the Democrats and the Republicans.  At the end of it, we could make some questions to them and they were so interesting!

Finally, can you choose one party now?
