EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON
WHICH YOU CAN USE TO CHANGE THE
WORLD
If we search
in a dictionary the meaning of the word education it says:
-
“Education is the act
or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers
of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others
intellectually for mature life.”
Some people ask
what education is and why it is very important. For me education is something
that everybody needs. Education is a part of our lives. If you don’t have
education you can’t do interesting things and you can’t have a good job so you
can’t have things that are necessary to live, like food. Some people who have
the opportunity to learn and go to school say that it is very boring, but we must
think that we are very lucky because people in poor countries can’t have
education. Or if they have that opportunity, it is not so easy because school
can be very far and it may be difficult to get there.
If you can go
to school and learn things, be happy and enjoy it because not everybody can.
I think that
what Nelson Mandela means with this sentence is that education is the best way
to be successful, to make a positive contribution to the world, so everybody should
have access to education. We are the future so we have to be prepared for
anything that may happen.
