DOES TRAVEL BROADEN YOUR MIND?
At present, travel is considered
one of the greatest activities we can carry out, because many scientists affirm
travelling opens our minds, namely, it suggests many things to the mind.
Our culture shows us to believe
that travel is necessary to our experience, but why? The people’s answer is: because when we go to
an unknown place we have to adapt to their customs, for example in India the
cow is sacred and we can break this believe. If we go to China, we will
probably taste new food as the curry, and if we go to the Amazons, we can’t
communicate with the tribes because we have to learn their language to
understand them.
In my point of view, to do this
kind of activities I described we need a lot of money. But what happens if we
haven’t got money or we don’t want to spend it travelling to theses place? It’s
not necessary to go to an unknown place to enjoy and open the mind.
As far as I concerned, I will
take any train which is not much expensive and I will travel around the
country, observing the landscape and the scenery, and to do it easier I will
take my bicycle, I will prepare a bag with the lunch and I will begin to pedal
without destine and without restrictions. In this situation, when our mind is
clear and we are thinking in nothing, then, appears another person who is doing
the same as you. We talk, we laugh and we lunch together. This way you meet a
real friend, and the most important: we achieve the extremely happiness which
produced open our mind.
It seems to me that broaden the
mind is easier as we believe. Broaden our mind is just enjoying the day we have
passed and keep these positive energies to do the best.
But I’m not saying that travel
around the world is bad, only that if we haven’t the money to do it, we don’t
have to be in our house all day saying: “I don’t have money to travel so it’s
better to stay in home” because this opinion produces us negative energies. And
these negative energies have the opposite effect of opening the mind.
People have the custom of waste
their money travelling to broad her mind when it’s as simple as have a train
ticket or a bicycle. This is because we don’t know how to keep positive
energies to broaden our mind. We have to learn who to be optimist.
