PAPERMAN. Sandra V. (2n batx A)

The great surprise of the Oscars

“Paperman” gives the surprise by becoming one of the big winners of the awards.

Last night the Oscars were held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The night was uneventful, between glamor and elegance of the nominees and the great excitement that was present in the environment.

The awards were followed without apparent surprises until it came true time for the category of Best Animated Film; everyone was waiting at the outcome of the nominations until finally it was heard that famous sentence: “the winner for best animated film is … Paperman”.

Then a big applause invaded the theatre, was a clear sign of support for the winner. Critics agree that the movie is a great example of the talent of its director (John Kahrs); because it is so bright that manages to convey without speaking a lot of feelings. Its effects are superb and able to transport the viewer to the moment in which the action takes place; besides making the viewer feel as one of the protagonists of the movie.

For all these reasons we can say that this animated film is a worthy winner of the Oscars, as its merits are infinite and its value and quality are unmatched.
