BIOGRAPHY
Alicia Martínez Hernández was born in Barcelona in 1943. Her family didn’t have too much
money, but with my great-grandfather’s much effort she got a good life.
She studied at what is now Turó Blau until she
was 14. As soon as she left school she went to a women's school, in the centre of
the city, where only girls were accepted, and there they learnt how to cook, sew
and other similar things.
After that and until her father died, she worked
with him in the workshop he had in the neighbourhood, with simple things. She couldn’t study more. During few years she was working
for the Super 3 channel, making cards for their members.
She got married with Jordi Cunillera Guivernau
in 1966. She had just got married when she got her first son, Albert
Cunillera (1967, Barcelona) and three
years later her second and last son Jordi Cunillera (1970, Barcelona).
Nowadays she keeps living in Sagrera, where she
was born and has four grandchildren.
