FREDDIE
"Sorry, you lost the baby" said the nurse.
Margaret had suicidal feelings since the day of the
childbirth and she couldn't forget the words of the nurse. She was alone
because her husband left her when he knew that she was pregnant.
All the things in her life were bad and at home she
wanted to finished living but one afternoon she remembered a letter that she
had in the mailbox. A man was giving puppies because his dog had had a lot of babies.
So she thought that maybe a dog could give life at home.
She phoned as soon as she could and took a puppy to
home. It was black with a lot of hair, it looked like a teddy.
She felt more happy every day, she could play with the
dog and she called it Freddie because of the singer Freddie Mercury, Margaret
loved Queen. She was with the puppy all the day because the doctor given him a
sick note for depression.
But suddenly bad things happened to Margaret. She fell
after the shower, she accidentally broke a mirror, the lights turned off...
Everything after that Freddie crossed in front of her so that made ask herself
some questions.
She knew about superstitions of black cats but not
about black dogs, so she didn't believe that the bad things had any relation
with Freddie. Until one day she saw lot of black hair in the floor like someone
had cut his hair and... Margaret saw a cat!
And the truth is that Freddie looked like a dog but
his hair dropped and it was a cat!!! Strange things of black cats or maybe
witches...
