I RECOMMEND YOU ... Joan O. (3r ESO C)

I RECOMEND YOU…

This week I have just read a book called “Lo mejor que le puede pasar a un cruasán” that could be translated for something as crazy as “The best that could happen to a croissant”. It’s a comedy full of adventures for adults.

Pablo Baloo Miralles is a man who lives in Barceona. He likes computers, smoking, going out with prostitutes and he is very messy. He is a member of a very rich family, because they have a company called Miralles & Miralles. But Pablo doesn’t have much money. When he needs money he has to ask it to his brother. Usually the request is unsuccessful. His brother is the president of the company and Pablo calls him “The First”. He is a hard worker.

One day, the First tells him that if he finds the owners of an old house, he will pay him 50,000 €. He accepts it because it looks like easy money, but he still doesn’t know how dangerous the assignment is going to be.

When he starts the investigation, strange things begin to happen. Pablo’s father is run over; luckily he only breaks his leg. Days later, a mad band kidnaps his brother with his secretary. But nobody thought that they were kidnapped.

First’s wife is Gloria. She speaks to Pablo looking for help. Pablo thinks that his brother is more important than the investigation of the old house and he changes the plans. He contracts a professional detective but some days later, the detective is murdered. All the family is very scared. Pablo is not scared and he uses the credit cards, car, clothes, and money from his brother. Pablo says to their parents that The First is in Bilbao, but it wasn’t true.

Then he enters into an incredible story, where he could die at any time. The book has an unimaginable ending.
