SCHOOL TRIP TO SITGES. Jordi B. (1r batx A)

Our wonderful stay
in Sitges

Last Friday we went with the school to Sitges, a beautiful city situated in the coast of Garraf. We took the train at “Passeig de Gràcia” and in fifty minutes we arrived at Sitges.

We started the route with a fascinating museum called “Palau Miramar” where the works of art that Santiago Rusiñol had collected in “Cau Ferrat” were being exposed. There were paints of himself, of Ramon Casas, his best friend, of Enric Clarasó and also Picasso left his mark there. That place was pretty good. After that, we had a walk through the town. We went to see popular places of there, like the famous statue of Santiago Rusiñol, the “Cau Ferrat”, the Town Hall and also the “Palau Marycel”.

The weather was not on our side. It was cloudy and bracing, but that was not a problem to walk a bit in our free time to see the well-known fisherman houses next of the sea with their famed blue color, in Catalan “blauet”. That was really wonderful, like the compositions that every week we make for Lurdes.

Naturally, we made some notes during the visit that we gave to our teachers at the end of this little journey, and now we have to make a Power Point with the pictures that we took there.

I have a good memory about Sitges and I believe that one day, I will come back to see the “Cau Ferrat” and the “Palau Marycel” because I’m delighted of our stay there.
