A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. Maria B. (2 BATX B)

THAT NIGHT AT CARLA’S ROOM

It’s been a long time since I first talked about this experience with someone. It’s easy not to believe what happened that night but the ones who were with me know exactly how we felt. So, it all started this summer in Nice when, with some friends, we went to an exposition downtown about paranormal activities that people had experienced along the history. Carla, one of my mates, was thrilled about going; so, on Friday afternoon, instead of going window-shopping (as we had planned), we spent hours staring at some photos that were hanging on the walls. All of us but Carla were starving because we hadn’t eaten since lunch and it was almost 9 pm. She agreed to come back to the residence to eat something; she knew she could come the next day to keep on looking at those, obviously not real, photos.
Once we got to the residence, we decided to have dinner together as it was late and we were too exhausted to cook for each one and individual meal. We waited until the coast was clear to put our pyjamas on: we decided right after having dinner to have a sleepover! The plan was to stay in Carla’s room because she had this huge 2-floored flat, so she really had space for everyone. Just in case someone came in, we locked the door to be sure no one caught us.
It would have been a normal pyjama’s party if we hadn’t heard someone knocking at the door. It was around 2 am when we heard some kind of noise at the end of the hallway. Carla the brave went to check it; she turned around the key and opened up the door but the shocking thing was that nobody was standing there. We all looked at each other because we had all heard that sound. We started to feel terrified when the same stupid noise came from the balcony. But again, when we checked, nobody showed up. At that time of the night none of us could sleep alone, we really were sacred to death so we just slept on the same bed.
I know it’s hard to believe what happened, since the same morning we went to that exposition and we could have been influenced, but I promise I had never been on such a hair-raising experience before.
