MALALA YOUSAFZAI and the Nobel Peace Prize 2014 Gerard F. (1 BATX A)

MALALA YOUSAFZAI

This seventeen year old girl is a student, activist and also a blogger. She has won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, so she became the youngest person to win this award. As a result, her popularity has increased.

She has got two brothers, she is known for her activism for fighting for civil rights specifically for women rights in Swat where Talibans don’t allow girls to go to school.

On 9th of October in 2012 a terrorist group charged against the school bus where she was in. A man shot  many times with a gun on her head, so she needed a fast operation or she’ll be dead now. Finally she could recover from every injury and then, she was able to go back to school in England and she said: “I’m really happy for being back to school. My dream is that every child in the world could have this opportunity because it’s their basic right”.

At 2013 she wrote a biography book called: “I am Malala”. She was only sixteen when she wrote this book; this book was banned in Pakistan.

In my opinion, this teenager is an example of fighting for what you want, because she didn’t shutup in a country where women can’t do many things and also a place that if you say something against the politicians could have badly impact.

Many times, people have different opinions about what the majority of population thinks and they don’t say it because they are scared about what people would think of them if they say it, me either, I also sometimes have different opinion about what someone in my family, class or friends I don’t say it because I don’t want to create conflict between me and the other people and I should improve this attitude.

Finally I’ll say something that doesn’t talk about Malala, it is about this composition, it has been the most difficult composition since we started school because I didn’t know too much about her so I needed to research information about Malala and what she has done, so I think this kind of compositions are a really nice idea to learn about new people or things.
