MALALA YOUSAFZAI and the Nobel Peace Prize 2014 Joel M. (1 BATX B)

MALALA YOUSAFZAI

Malala Yoursafzai is 17, she is from Pakistan. She has always defended the rights of women to education. On October 9 of 2012, she was shot by a Taliban while she was coming from school.

Since then, she has become really popular around the world. She has had meetings with really important people such as Barack Obama. She also was rewarded with the Nobel Peace Prize, she deserves it. She has very good quotes such as “One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world”, or “For being powerful I only need one thing: education”.

In my opinion, people as Malala are a really important role, they try to change their ancient and maladaptive culture, and this is a really hard action, because religious are totally against it. This religious people are also very aggressive, so it makes that the hard action that people as Malala tries to do becomes also dangerous.

I appreciate a lot what this kind of people do, and I hope that their goal occurs, because they’ll give us a better world, and we have to help them in any way we can.
