MALALA YOUSAFZAI and the Nobel Peace Prize 2014. Marc M. (3r ESO A)

EDUCATION IN THE WORLD

Sometimes we hate going to school because we have to get up very early, doing homework, studying for the exams… But we don’t appreciate it. There are people in the world that want to,  but they can’t. Here, in the developed nations,  we think going to school is boring. We have to be humble because there are people in the world that are dying because of being hungry.
Joy and being glad feelings are not something material but it is for the happiness of being able to eat, study and have freedom because when a person just thinks that he has to eat, this person is not free. This is a very important thing.

Why is good to have an education?

  • You can behave good in a society
  • It gives us knowledge
  •  It helps in a nation progess
  • It’s basic to improve and develop the world
I’m just mad at what Malala has done. Since 2011 she is winning lots of awards because she wants that everybody must have an education. She won the Nobel Prize (peace). In these countries, they have it worst to go to school. In my opinion, I don’t like sexism. Any kind of sexism or discrimination.

This is a quote that Obama said in a speech and I like it:

"... Every single one of you has something that you're good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That's the opportunity an education can provide."

If you go to school, you have more opportunities to have a better job. And this is one of the things that is happening. Lots of people work a lot for a minimum salary. For example, in Spain, there are people that work in farms 12h or more and the salary is for about 400€ working 12h, 7days per week. This is a real (cruel) truth.

There’s food for everyone. The problem is the distribution.

And I think that if everyone in the world has education, there won’t be wars. Every human has the same duties and the same rights. So, if everyone is equal, everyone should be able to have education.
