ITALY 2013. Laura T. (2n batx A)

ITALY 2013

Surely, the trip to Italy is one of the most anticipated moments of pupils. The afternoon before our good vibrations were present on the environment. At six o’clock the bus was ready to go on and inside students wanting to unwind and have fun for a week. We have splashed out on food and our bags were full of junk food, as a consequence, a few days after we got stuck of the stomach and we couldn’t enjoy of the nice gastronomy. Anyway it wasn’t an obstacle to savour the beauty of Italy. The trip was not a drama although we slept only two hours.

Pisa was waiting for us alone and silent very early in the morning. The journey around la Tuscany was beginning. All the small times we were visiting deserved a group photo because of the colourful and spectacular views and monuments . The weather was not the nicest but we were well equipped and eager to go. We wanted to play sage, for this reason, we got suggestions of the teachers who knew the North of Italy like the back of their hand.

If I have to choose one or two cities I’d definitely stay with Venice and San Gimignano. I absolutely love this towns. Between them there are a lot of differences nevertheless each with its own characteristics. One with its canals, its warm light and bohemian. On the other hand, San Gimignano with the harmony of the towers and stone houses in the middle of Tuscany.

It’s difficult to find bad experiences of the trip, however, nasty things happen but these are those which are forgotten easily and are unavoidable. Coexisting twenty-four hours a day with your friends sometimes is not easy and conflict arises but with optimism and humour all is better, of course. Lastly, I would like to say that I would spend more days travelling with my peers, for me one week was not enough, however, it was sufficient to keep wonderful memories.
