ONLINE SHOPPING. Javier G. (2n batx B)

Shopping on the Internet

In our present day society, it is common buying very varied stuff by the Internet. It is actually a fact that this tendency has been growing in the recent years. It is known that it is easier to buy things in stores or markets, but is it better to continue with the traditional commercial way or should we develop online shopping in the future?
On the one hand, it is true that by the Internet you cannot receive the same attention than in a shop. Moreover, it is instantly, you can buy a couple of shoes and go home with them. Another problem would be that not always you buy exactly what you think you are looking for. For example, if you go to some website, such as eBay, searching for a new mobile phone and you buy one that looks like what you want; it is possible that you will receive the box of the phone with something unexpected in it, like an old mobile phone or a rock. Not knowing what you are buying is the main problem when you are shopping online; however, sometimes, there also troubles with the delivery.
On the other hand, there are some things you can only buy by the Internet. In addition, it is also easier to find what you are looking for. In some situations, you can find stuff cheaper than in the market. It is better for our current style of life, because we have no time enough to go shopping, so it is more practical to shop by the internet. Some people are used to buy food using the computer, as a result some big food shops are improving their online website, making possible buying fresh fruit or fish and receiving it at home in less than four hours.
Finally, to sum up and as far as I am concerned, it is obvious that online shopping is becoming more popular nowadays; it is not because is easier to do or more useful. In fact, this increase is made because of the changes our style of life has suffered in the last few years. What we need to buy has also evolved to more specific products which are more difficult to find, of course. We could say that depending on the situation and the stuff we want to buy, it is better to use internet to shop or to go to the market.
