OUR SCHOOL
Ø Rules
Our school is called “Manyanet
Sant Andreu”. It is a private school with levels from P3 to 2nd of
high school. We can do extracurricular activities in the school like
basketball, football, skating, playing the guitar, hockey, dancing, extra
English classes… We don’t have to use the mobile phone; we don’t have to be
late, we don’t have to wear a uniform, we wear a gown until the end of primary.

Subjects and exams
Until the end of primary, all the
subjects are obligatory. When you start the ESO, you have to choose an optative
subject. When you start the 4th of ESO there are different routes
you can choose. There are different types of high school as the degree you want
to do.
Our teachers usually put us exams
to see which level we have. There are some obligatory exams called
“Competències Bàsiques”. We do them in the last level of primary. If you want
you can do Cambridge exams with the school, the first one is Starter.

Our school year
We divide our school year in
three terms: the 1st term is from the beginning of September to the
middle of December, the 2nd term is from the beginning of January to
“Setmana Santa”, and the last term starts at the end of Easter Holidays and
ends at the middle of June. We also have extra festive days during the year. We
do some excursions and camps too.

Personal opinion
I think my school prepares you
for the career very well because the teachers demand to you a minimum level.
The most difficult stage of the school is high school, because here it is very
difficult to reach the mark you need for the degree. In general, I think my
school is one of the best schools in Barcelona.
